Get Your Life Back
Addiction and related behaviors can steal someone’s ability to chose the life they want. Our unique approach focuses on taking the time to get to the root of problem behaviors, and to help you create new and sustainable ways of responding to life’s problems. That’s one of the things that makes us different. And it’s one of the reasons our approach can be more successful long-term than traditional treatment.
Who We Are
At The Recovery Clinic we believe we have a better way of treating substance abuse, disordered eating and other mental health disorders.
Our care team has had experience working in larger organizations and the limitations that often come with that.
We wanted to do better, and we built The Recovery Clinic with that in mind.
When you have a co-occurring disorder, and your disorders are not treated simultaneously, you increase you chances of not being able to sustain recovery. Going through treatment over and over again and not being able to sustain recovery leads to a feeling of failure and believing that you cannot be helped.
We don’t give up on people. We don’t believe people are hopeless. Our treatment approach focuses on getting to the root of the problematic behaviors. That’s one of the things that makes The Recovery Clinic different. And it’s one of the reasons our approach can be more successful than traditional treatments.
The process of regaining possession of something stolen or lost
Addiction can make you feel like your life has been stolen from you. At The Recovery Clinic, we believe everyone has a chance at recovery. Recovery can be fun, rewarding and worth it. Our mission is to improve the lives of people in recovery. We don’t give up on people. We don’t believe people are hopeless. Ever.
Addictions are complex and each client (and addiction) is unique
The staff at The Recovery Clinic understand how complex and confusing addiction can be, both for the individual suffering and to loved ones. We understand there are many different pathways to addiction, and also many different ways recovery can look. Therefore, we do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Each client’s life situation is truly unique and addictive behaviors have a “context” that needs to be understood before change can happen. Often the context of addictions is an attempt to cope with stressors that works in the short term but become more and more problematic over time. A primary treatment principle at The Recovery Clinic is to understand this dilemma and then collaborate with each client to develop an individualized and integrated care plan that aims for long-term recovery in the context of the client’s own values, motivations, and life goals.
Motivation is a process
There are good reasons people don’t “just stop” addictive behaviors
In addition to being overlearned and very entrenched patterns of behavior that take time to change, people don’t tend to give up old coping strategies until new ones are in place. Addictions and other compulsive behaviors often serve as attempts to cope with adverse environments and mental health difficulties. The Kodiak team understands the motivation for change is enhanced throughout the care process. Most clients begin the change process only after a safe and secure connection has been made with people who care about and deeply understand their unique life situation.
Relationships, connection, and empathy matters
At The Recovery Clinic, we are very intentional about building a community of supportive people around you. You do not have to do this alone. We put an emphasis on the provider-client therapeutic relationship along with the strong healing connections between clients. The client-centered, peer-driven environment at The Recovery Clinic, combined with an expert and compassionate treatment team, allows clients to receive the latest evidence-based care in the most supportive environment possible.
Recovery is how YOU define it and based on what YOU value
As much as we would like to, we cannot tell you why recovery will be worth it. This is something you will discover for yourself. But you can be certain that we will be with you through the entire journey, as long as you need us. We believe sustained recovery is a long-term process that requires planning, structure, and accountability. By creating a custom care plan for each client, The Recovery Clinic is committed to meeting you exactly where you are in your current path toward recovery, and then providing support for however long you need it.
What We Treat
The majority of individuals with substance use problems will also struggle with their mental health. For example, 25-50% of men and women with substance use problems may also struggle with disordered eating. Conditions such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma/PTSD and personality disorders also commonly coexist with substance use disorders.
At The Recovery Clinic, we have built our clinic on an integrative model. Integrative care is more effective in treating co-occurring disorders than programs focused on only problem at a time. Our professional team is cross-trained and our comprehensive assessment process allows us to create a customized treatment plan to get you on the road to recovery.
