Leigh Hoffert is a counseling intern and graduate student in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She believes in the dignity of all human beings and approaches counseling with curiosity, respect and honesty, creating a safe space where individuals can regain a sense of hope as they explore and develop insight into their strengths and challenges. Leigh has extensive experience in the field of domestic and sexual violence and has served as a spiritual mentor and facilitator of meditative prayer. She is interested in working with people of all ages experiencing life transitions, trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, depression, and challenges to personal growth. Using a combination of mindfulness, existential, cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic strategies, she supports clients in overcoming barriers and achieving a sense of wisdom and fulfillment in their lives.
