Mindfulness, which means present-moment awareness, is an evidence-based practice that can help with stress reduction, relaxation and emotional regulation. Mindfulness is a proven method that helps relieve symptoms of anxiety and depression and improve overall well-being.
What to expect…
In the first 1-2 sessions we will identify your symptoms of concern and discuss what mindfulness is and how it could be helpful for you. Your therapy will be individualized to meet your specific needs. Mindfulness can be practiced in a variety of ways, including mindfulness meditation, yoga and breathwork. We work with each client to determine the best modalities to use based on their symptoms, interests and lifestyle. Other therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are integrated into the therapy as needed.
