Dr. Ryan Hovis is a licensed psychologist who has an extensive background working with children, adolescents, and their families, as well as emerging adults and couples. His background includes working in community mental health, inpatient, partial hospitalization, therapeutic day school, college counseling center, outpatient hospital, and private practice. Although well-versed in working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral struggles, Dr. Hovis specializes in trauma, abuse, neglect, family relationships difficulties, anxiety, depression, behavioral regulation, developmental disorders, cultural responsiveness and spirituality. Dr. Hovis received his terminal masters in clinical psychology and his doctorate of psychology in clinical psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School. He also has been a guest lecturer at Wheaton College and Bethel University. Dr. Hovis believes in the importance of being seen and heard; that everyone’s story needs to be understood. He establishes a strong rapport, and in the space created with his clients, begins to explore each individual’s path to hope. With collaboration and improvisation in the therapeutic space, change begins to emerge and people begin to discover new possibilities. Dr. Hovis further believes in empowerment of each individual and family; that therapeutic success translates into people moving toward the best versions of themselves and maintaining their success over time.
Kelly is a Mental Health Practitioner with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Kelly enjoys working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. Her background includes working in settings such as a residential setting supporting individuals with eating disorders, in-home work, and private practice setting. She uses a client centered approach to help clients focus on attainable goals to work towards, as well as combining other modalities such as; cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and emotionally focused approaches. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, life transitions, working through trauma, eating disorders, relationship struggles and challenges, and parenting. She has a passion for walking alongside of clients and creating a non-judgmental, encouraging, welcoming and comforting space to help guide clients through challenges life can bring. She believes in meeting clients where they are at on their journey and collaborating care with them to help them reach their desired goals.
Dr. Josh Meendering is a Licensed Psychologist. He completed his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology. Additionally, Josh has advanced training in psychoanalytic therapy. Josh employs a practical therapeutic approach to assist you in reaching your personal, professional, or relationship goals. The adolescents and adults Josh works with are understood as individuals that have their own unique attitudes, beliefs, and experiences. Josh is dedicated to working with individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Josh has experience working with LGBTQ community, people of color, adolescents, adults, and couples in a variety of clinical settings.
Juli is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist that is also trained to work with horses for psychotherapy and corporate trainings at On Track EAP Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, LLC. She enjoys working with motivated clients who have a positive attitude toward change. Her style is holistic, eclectic, warm and compassionate. Juli employs a wide array of techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, internal family systems, cognitive restructuring, behavior modification, sand tray and play therapy, parenting videos, bibliotherapy (i.e., book recommendations) and horse assisted psychotherapy and learning. She sees individuals, families, and couples. Juli works with adults, kids and teenagers and specializes in working with anxiety, life transitions, challenging temperaments, communication skill building, parenting, autism spectrum, grief & loss, and blended families. In addition she teaches parenting classes based on the “1 2 3 Magic” series and follows “The nurtured heart approach“. She has been in the field for over 18 years and sees working with clients and building a solid therapeutic relationship an honor.
